The Sock

I've been intermittently browsing your web site and I think it's great. Over here in
 Australia, we don't have the same access as you American folk to like-minded malamute 
people.  I really enjoy reading about other people's experiences with this unique breed.  
I'd like to increase the Australian content of your website with the following funny 
malamute story, please:

My husband and I live in Australia and purchased a malamute puppy last 
Christmas.  His name is Mistaya and he loves to help me bring the washing in off the 
clothes line where it dries during the day.  Bringing the clean clothes off the line 
one afternoon, I placed them in the basket and turned my back for 2 seconds to watch 
our big, brave cat being swooped by a
magpie (a type of bird in Australia).   While my attention was drawn
elsewhere, Mistaya had put his head in the basket, searched out one of my socks and 
proceeded to prance around the backyard while I attempted to catch him to get it out 
of his mouth.  When I finally got hold of his collar, he sat down, looked at me, and 
swallowed the sock - all in one motion.  I couldn't believe it, and I don't think he 
could either!  When we contacted the vet, he said that he'd heard of these dogs 
swallowing underpants, so I didn't feel so bad!!  Nevertheless, the sock turned up 
in the backyard about 8 days later.  

And in case you're wondering, we destroyed the sock and its matching mate.......
