Sneak Theif

Our pup Jetty is a greedy little sneak-thief - anything she can get her 
jaws on goes down the hatch! Of course, we watch her very carefully, and 
she finds us almost impossible to steal from. Cutter, however, is not 
having as much luck. When both dogs get a chewy rawhide roll, Jetty chews 
and swallows it within minutes. No savoring the moment for her - she eats 
like a duck! Cutter usually wants to save his, though. He ends up having 
to guard his chewy, or find a good enough hiding place. Jetty watches 
pretty carefully, and if it looks like Cutter is going to leave his 
chewy unattended, she runs for it, and he (who has been watching her) 
has to run back and grab it first. One day Cutter had a great idea: 
hide the chewy under Mom! I was on the couch talking on the phone, not 
really paying attention as my dogs climbed on and off my lap, when I 
felt something wet behind me. Sure enough, Cutter had stashed two 
drooled-on chewies between my butt and the couch cushion! He was 
sitting at the other end of the couch, watching Jetty, and she was 
sitting on the other side of the room, waiting for him to move. I 
congratulated him, but made him take the chewies - they're not MY 
problem! :)
