Sleepy Time You've heard "early to bed, early to rise"? Well, Cutter is the wisest dog there is. Around 9 each night, he starts napping in the hall by the bedroom door, or on the bed if the door is open. However, he wants us to come join him. Every 15 minutes or so, if we're still in the living room, he comes out and stands at the front of the hallway, blinking and yawning and giving us a very sad, somber look. If we don't pay enough attention to this silent plea, he will let out a yawn which turns into a loud, melodic whine! Then he turns sadly and goes back to bed to wait for us a little longer. In the mornings, Cutter knows he is not to make noise until the alarm goes off. However, he knows that we're usually awake before the alarm (because of him) and he can't help checking to see who is awake... first he walks to Dad's side of the bed and stares, then Mom's side, then back to Dad... the whole time, those toenails going click-click-click on the hardwood floor! It's impossible to sleep through! Then, once the alarm goes off, it's a cold wet nose in the face for everyone!
