My malamute, Bandit, loves to go for rides in the car.  I recently moved 
to Las Vegas and my new home has a 2-car garage, which means my one car 
and my junk can share the same roof.  One day, Bandit followed me into 
the garage.  When he saw the car in there, he circled the car, stopping 
every so often to "scold" me for not opening the door.  I called and 
called and called, but he refused.  He was going for a ride and that's 
all there was too it!  What did I do? I picked up his leash, clipped 
it to his collar, and said, "Okay, boy, let's go for a walk."  At which 
point, he calmly followed me into the house, where I removed his leash.  
Now I have to make sure he just doesn't follow me into the garage because 
putting on his leash doesn't work....he wants a ride and won't settle for 
less!
