Caught Napping

We peek in the window after an evening out to find our Mal, Chili Dog,
asleep on the couch with his head on the pillow. We rattle the door to
give him fair warning that we are home and give him a fair chance to
appear like a well behaved dog. He didn't even open his eyes. He ignored
the door, and went on with his nap. We finally came in, announced our
arrival, only to have him slooowly lumber from the couch with a look on
his face like, "Gee, your home early".
