A Home Coming This story is about our wonderful family dog Dutchess you can find her picture on the page its listed as Carolyn's dog Dutchess. Anyway, Carolyn which is me, we got Dutchess when I was around nine or ten. She was very playful and active. I remember when I was young I used to throw a football and she would run after it and jump side to side then she was stop for second with her head tilted down and to the side just being silly then she would start running again. I had so much fun with her we had her running on a cable chain off and on because we had cats and they really didn't get along with each other. The other reasons she sometimes wonder into the neighbors yard and their dog wouldn't try and fight her. Anyway, we later moved about five years later about and it was basically the same situation there. I gave her plenty of attention sometimes I couldn't because were she was it would rain and the grass would be too wet to be around. Well, we later let her off of the cable because no other dogs fought with her. So when I would come to visit my Mom I would play with her and give her attention it was a blast. Well, up to now she was old I remember the last time I got to play with her she would come sit by me shortly, then she would run in and out the bushes and would stop and tilt her head down and to the side being silly like she always did, she would run through the leaves I would sit there on the ground and laugh. I would call her Dutch's come on girl she would come and sit with her tail just a wagging. Well, some time went by I went again over to my moms house I couldn't find her so I figured she probably in the neighborhood being curious the neighbor's next door also let her come in they liked her a lot to. Anyway, it was about a week and a half before I got over there again. On the way me and Mom were sitting in the car just talking, I said Mom have you seen Dutchess she said no I said she like missing she said Carolyn Dutchess died.....I was like on my god I cant believe it.. I wished there was something I could have done...or I wished I would have spent more time with her. Yeah I miss her a lot one day when I am able to afford it I will get another dog like her even though no dog could ever replace her I would defiantly name this second female dog Dutchess. Love, Carolyn
