A Childhood Friend When I was around 3 years old my mom decided that it was time I got a puppy. We went to a friend of hers who raised Malamutes. I was sitting there picking through all the puppies and then I seen this special puppy with a lump in her tail and I said mom that's the one I want. We named her Kinya. From that day forward we were inseparable. My mom had her bred when I was about 7 years old. She had 7 beautiful puppies, but after that litter she could never get pregnant again. Every time she came it heat she would carry here little snoopy toy around and pretend it was her puppy. As the years went on I got into my teen years and I barley spent time with her, of course when I went out to feed her I would pay a little attention to her but not very much because I was always on the go. One day I got asked to go stay with my brother and sister in - law for a couple months to keep an eye on my niece while they worked, So I went. About a month later while I was in Maryland my mom called me and told me she had gotten cancer and had to be put down I was heartbroken. My mom had her cremenated and we spread her ashes up north where she always was aloud to run. I loved my dog so very much.
